ByteDance, Developer Of "S-Dance," Launches New LLM Model "Deoubao"

"Pro version targets GPT 5.2 and Gemini 3 Pro"

Chinese big tech company ByteDance, which recently shocked the industry by unveiling its AI video generation model S-Dance 2.0, released its new large language model (LLM) Deoubao 2.0 on the 14th.

ByteDance, also well known as the creator of TikTok, said on social media that "as the era of agents arrives, LLMs will play a greater role in the real world," adding, "Deoubao 2.0 has optimized its system by placing real-world production-use demand at the center, and based on highly efficient inference, multimodal understanding, and the ability to execute complex commands, it can perform complex tasks in the real world more effectively."

Deoubao 2.0 consists of three general-purpose agent models -- Pro, Lite, and Mini -- as well as a coding model.

The Pro version is a model tailored for deep reasoning and is aimed at GPT 5.2 and Gemini 3 Pro, while the Lite and Mini versions focus on cost-effectiveness.

Chinese media explained that Deoubao 2.0 demonstrates excellence in areas such as image recognition and understanding, and intelligent analysis.

ByteDance unveiled the video generation model S-Dance 2.0 on the 12th and the image model S-Dream 5.0 Lite on the 13th. In particular, S-Dance 2.0 has drawn global attention for its ability to create natural videos from just a single photo and a simple prompt (command), leading some to predict that, following last year's "DeepSeek moment," a "S-Dance moment" may be on the way.
