A shooting at a dormitory of South Carolina State University in the southern United States has left two people dead.
According to AP and AFP, on the 12th (local time), South Carolina State University said in a press release that a shooting had occurred in a dormitory building, resulting in two deaths and one injury.
The university added that it has not yet confirmed the identities of the victims or the condition of the injured person. It also did not say whether anyone had been arrested in connection with the shooting.
The university locked down the campus starting at 9:15 p.m., after the shooting report was received that evening. The lockdown remains in effect, and the university has canceled classes for the following day and is providing counseling services.
