Healthcare Robots Draw Attention... Neofect Unveils New Product at WHX

Healthcare robotics specialist company Neofect has unveiled a next-generation hybrid healthcare robot.

Neofect announced on the 11th that it had premiered its new product, "Smart Board Robotics," at the "World Healthcare Exhibition Dubai 2026 (WHX Dubai 2026)" held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Smart Board Robotics is an intelligent hybrid rehabilitation robot that has been revealed ahead of its launch in the first half of this year. Existing product users can implement the same functions as the new product simply by additionally installing the robot module. Based on this, the company plans to expand additional supply to existing clients while also broadening its new customer base to include medium- and large-sized hospitals.

At WHX, Neofect highlighted its robotics technology competitiveness by expanding an experience-focused demonstration space. During the exhibition period, the company discussed the introduction of healthcare robots, on the premise of purchase, with more than 10 large hospitals and dealer companies in North America and the Middle East. In the process, it simultaneously discussed product development requests and original equipment manufacturing (OEM) with U.S. rehabilitation device company Saebo. Todd Wiebusch, Chairman of the Board of Saebo, took part directly in the negotiations. Saebo is a rehabilitation solutions company for stroke and neurological disorder patients and operates a hospital network spanning more than 40 countries worldwide.

The achievements on-site extended beyond the exhibition hall into networking with key institutions in Dubai's medical ecosystem. Recognized locally as a specialist in rehabilitation robotics, Neofect received an invitation to establish a presence in Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) and joined a joint briefing alongside the European Union (EU) Ambassador and the French Ambassador. DHCC is a global medical hub located in a Free Zone within Dubai, functioning as an integrated cluster that combines medical and wellness services with medical education, research, and investment functions.

Neofect expects that, as DHCC is a strategic project into which investment is being made under the leadership of the Dubai government, it will provide a favorable environment for business expansion in terms of joint business opportunities with global companies and attracting investment.

Neofect, which started in 2010 under the name "Ulsan Robotics," is a company that has successfully commercialized AI- and robot-based rehabilitation devices. Leveraging this exhibition, the company plans to strengthen its position as a healthcare robot platform company. Going forward, it intends to accelerate the export of healthcare robot technology, including by providing its proprietary core technologies in the form of licenses.

Song Ho-young, Head of the Rehabilitation Business Team at Neofect, said, "From the first morning, there were more product trials and inquiries from Middle Eastern buyers than expected, leading to results that exceeded our expectations," adding, "Through WHX, it seems Neofect has clearly made its mark as a 'healthcare robot' company." He continued, "Through this exhibition, we are keeping the door open to collaboration possibilities with various global companies and are currently in negotiations, and we expect to be able to announce good news before long."
