[Breaking] Military Helicopter Crashes in Hyeon-ri, Gapyeong...2 On Board Seriously Injured

Fire and Military Authorities Conduct Emergency Rescue and Response

On the morning of the 9th, a military helicopter crashed in Hyeon-ri, Jojong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province, leaving two people on board seriously injured.

According to fire authorities and the military, at around 11:04 a.m. that day a report was received that a military helicopter had crashed near Sinhagyo in Hyeon-ri, Jojong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun.

As a result of the accident, two people who were on board the helicopter were seriously injured and rescued at the scene. When they were found, both were unconscious, and they reportedly received emergency first aid and were being transported to a nearby hospital.

Immediately after the crash, fire authorities dispatched 43 personnel and 16 pieces of equipment to the site and are making every effort to respond to the accident, including rescuing people and preventing fires. Military officials have also arrived at the scene and are checking the exact circumstances of the crash and the extent of the damage.

It has not yet been confirmed whether the crash site was adjacent to residential areas or whether there was any additional damage on the ground, but fire and military authorities are controlling access to the site and preparing for the possibility of further incidents.

The military authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the crash as soon as the rescue operation is completed, based on the aircraft’s flight records and witness statements.
