Gyeongbuk Development Corporation (President Lee Jaehyuk) announced that it will issue a new notice on February 6 for the re-supply of 20 remaining industrial facility lots within the High-Tech Urban Industrial Complex in the second phase of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government New Town.
This re-supply is being pursued swiftly to provide land in a timely manner to companies wishing to move in, following the first round of supply in which three nearby metal manufacturing companies decided to relocate to the complex and are now about to sign contracts.
The total number of lots to be supplied is 20, and the main eligible industries include advanced manufacturing sectors such as electrical and electronic, machinery, equipment, and metal, as well as knowledge and cultural industries such as research and development, information and communications, and educational services.
The sale price is approximately 650,000 won per 3.3 square meters. If a tenant company receives support from Yecheon-gun for land purchase costs after starting its business, the effective purchase price can be reduced to the 500,000 won range per 3.3 square meters, making it more competitive than land in neighboring areas.
In line with this re-supply, cooperation with the competent local government, Yecheon-gun, will be further strengthened. Starting this month, Yecheon-gun plans to meet with businesspeople who originated from the county to carry out investment-attraction activities, and to focus its administrative capacity on attracting mid-sized companies by sending promotional materials to related companies in Yecheon-gun. It is expected that the corporation's rapid land supply, combined with the local government's proactive efforts to attract companies, will create a synergy effect that will lead to the early revitalization of the industrial complex.
Lee Jaehyuk, President of Gyeongbuk Development Corporation, said, "The recent decisions by end-user companies to move in prove that our industrial complex offers an optimal environment for corporate management," adding, "We will work closely with Yecheon-gun to actively attract promising companies, strengthen the self-sufficiency function of the new town, and invigorate the local economy."
Meanwhile, this complex is being developed as an urban-type industrial complex with an area of 146,129 square meters in Homyeong-eup, Yecheon-gun, and it offers both convenient transportation networks such as the Jungang Expressway and Jungbu Naeryuk Expressway, and the residential, educational, and living infrastructure of the new town.
