Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Physical Therapy Department Runs DNS C Course

Proving the Capacity to Cultivate Highly Skilled Rehabilitation Professionals in the Professional Master’s Program

The Department of Physical Therapy at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo) announced on the 5th that it successfully ran the DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) C course for three days from January 14 to 16.

DNS is a neurodevelopmental rehabilitation approach developed by Dr. Pavel Kolar of the Czech Republic. It is a world-class rehabilitation exercise education system that focuses on neuromuscular control and the restoration of core stability based on human developmental stages. Among its programs, the DNS C course is the highest-level curriculum, requiring an advanced level of clinical understanding and application skills, and is regarded as a top-tier program even in the field of rehabilitation exercise education in Korea.

Students enrolled in the Professional Master’s Program in the Department of Physical Therapy at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology and two faculty members participated in this training. As master’s students and faculty members completed the same advanced educational course together, it has been evaluated as a practical realization in the field of the talent development system pursued by the Professional Master’s Program, which aims to cultivate highly skilled technical professionals.

Kim Kanghoon, Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy, said, "The DNS C course is not just about teaching techniques; it is a top-level rehabilitation education program that requires integrated clinical thinking about neuromuscular control, postural stabilization, and functional movement," adding, "By having both graduate students and faculty members participate together, it provided a meaningful opportunity to advance both education and clinical practice at the same time."

The Department of Physical Therapy at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology plans to continue introducing advanced international-level rehabilitation education programs, including DNS, and to establish itself as a hub for cultivating Professional Master’s degree holders who possess both practical field competence and theoretical expertise.
