Korea Electric Power Corporation is presenting its vision for future energy industries by unveiling a wide range of next-generation energy technologies at Korea Smart Grid Expo 2026.

Korea Electric Power Corporation announced that it will operate an exhibition booth focusing on nine new technologies, including direct current (DC) power technology and intelligent power grids, at Korea Smart Grid Expo 2026, which is being held at COEX in Seoul from the 4th to the 6th.

This expo is Korea's leading smart grid and new energy industry exhibition, hosted by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and featuring participation from more than 350 companies.

Korea Electric Power Corporation organized its exhibition around technologies and operating platforms designed to respond to changes in the energy industry environment, such as carbon neutrality, the spread of distributed energy, and the digital transformation of power.

In particular, the company is introducing its new business strategies and identity, including the establishment of a technology holding company for technology demonstration and commercialization and the discovery of unicorn companies. It explained that it enhanced visitors' understanding by using three-dimensional video and storytelling techniques to visualize the processes of energy production, transmission, and control.

The exhibition content consists of supercapacitor and superconducting technologies, DC-based power technologies, an intelligent distribution network operation system, and intelligent metering infrastructure. In addition, through its battery degradation management system and data-based power operation technology (IDPP), the company is showcasing how facility condition diagnosis, prediction, and optimal operation can be expanded into new services and business models.

Through these efforts, Korea Electric Power Corporation plans to expand cooperation with corporate and institutional investors and broaden opportunities for joint business development and the creation of new industries.

Kim Dongchul, President of Korea Electric Power Corporation, said, "For new energy technologies, it is important not only to develop the technology but also to connect it to real industries and markets," adding, "Through this exhibition, we will share new technologies and strengthen our cooperation base with domestic and overseas partners."
