PUREKA was planned with inspiration from the "reverse meal method" trend, in which vegetables, protein, and carbohydrates are consumed in that order to moderate the rise in blood sugar. Each stick contains 41 kinds of fruits and vegetables so that consumers can easily eat vegetables first before a meal. It features a dual blend of soluble and insoluble dietary fiber, and also includes probiotics and digestive enzymes.
The product line consists of two types: "PUREKA Greens Water Mix," a powder type that is mixed with water, and "PUREKA Greens Crunch," an extra-small chewable tablet type. PUREKA Greens Water Mix comes in three flavors: Shine Muscat, Red Grapefruit, and Pine Mango, while PUREKA Greens Crunch comes in Lemon Lime flavor, offering a total of four flavors. By using concentrated fruit juice, the product reduces the characteristic grassy taste of salads.
PUREKA made its debut on January 30 through Olive Young's wellness curation platform "OLIVE BETTER." It is also available through online channels such as Dong-A Pharmaceutical's official mall Dmall (:Dmall) and the Naver Brand Store. At OLIVE BETTER and the Olive Young online mall, a 1+1 cross promotion is being held for the 7-stick product to commemorate the launch.
A Dong-A Pharmaceutical representative said, "PUREKA was planned for consumers who recognize the need to consume vegetables but find it difficult to put into practice," adding, "By simply taking it before meals, consumers can establish a healthy dietary improvement routine."
