On February 4, Samsung Electronics announced that it will showcase its mobile innovation technologies at the Games through initiatives such as: live broadcasting of the opening ceremony using the Galaxy S25 Ultra; real-time interpretation and communication support based on Galaxy artificial intelligence (AI); building an environment for video review using Samsung Electronics monitors; operating Galaxy charging stations; and running the communication space "Samsung House" for athletes, key figures, and partners.

The opening ceremony will be held on the 6th at San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy. More than 3,500 athletes from over 90 countries and over 75,000 spectators will gather there. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will film the scene and relay it live to viewers around the world. The devices will be installed throughout the stadium, including in the stands and the athletes' entrance tunnel, and marching athletes and on-site cameramen will also film directly, capturing the historic moments even more vividly.

Previously, at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics, Samsung Electronics supported broadcasting using the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Yiannis Exarchos, CEO of Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS), said, "The opening ceremony is the moment that symbolically captures the Olympic spirit," adding, "By collaborating with Samsung, we have been able to capture dynamic scenes that were not possible with traditional broadcasts. This will allow us to deliver the energy and emotion of the opening ceremony even more closely to global viewers."

Samsung Electronics will also provide around 850 volunteers with Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 FE devices equipped with Galaxy AI-based interpretation features to support communication in 22 languages. The company expects that the interpretation function using on-device AI will make a significant contribution to running the Games, including events held in mountainous areas. Galaxy charging stations will be installed and operated throughout the venues, and Samsung Electronics monitors will be provided for short track speed skating events so that referees can make accurate and consistent decisions at every crucial moment of the competition through real-time video review.

Samsung Electronics will also operate "Samsung House" at the historic Milan landmark Palazzo Serbelloni during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Palazzo Serbelloni is a place that has witnessed the city's historic moments, known as a residence Napoleon visited when he stayed in Milan. Samsung House is designed around the concept of "connection" and offers a multidimensional presentation of Samsung's Olympic partnership journey and its stories of technological innovation developed together with the Olympic Games. It will serve as a communication space where invited athletes, key figures, and partners can meet and interact, offering a variety of exhibitions and entertainment.

Choi Seungeun, Vice President and Head of Mobile Marketing Center of the MX Business at Samsung Electronics, said, "Samsung Electronics aims to create a people-centered Olympics by sharing every Olympic moment with more people," adding, "As the way we experience the Games evolves, mobile technology will play a crucial role in bringing athletes, fans, and communities closer together, and in enhancing the sense of presence and emotion of the competitions so that people can relate to and enjoy them."
