Residents of Guam-ri in Geumho-eup also added 1 million won, further strengthening the effort.

The residents of Guam-ri have taken the lead in nurturing talent every year, with their cumulative donations reaching 10.5 million won so far.

Village head Kim Hee-cheol said, "I hope these scholarships, filled with the residents' sincerity, will serve as a foundation for the students' learning and challenges."

Samnyeong Agricultural Corporation also donated a 5 million won scholarship.

Samnyeong Agricultural Corporation is an eco-friendly organic fertilizer producer located in Sinnyeong-myeon. It contributes to creating a sustainable agricultural environment through a resource-circulating production method that utilizes livestock manure and organic by-products.

Since the operation of its compost plant in 1994, the company has focused on developing fertilizers suited to local agricultural conditions, and has earned strong trust from farmers by supplying high-quality organic fertilizers suitable for Yeongcheon’s specialized crops such as garlic and onions.

In addition, since 2012 it has donated scholarships every year, providing scholarships 16 times in total and donating 78 million won to date, thereby steadily continuing its social contribution activities for nurturing local talent.

CEO Kwon Tae-bong said, "I feel great satisfaction when I see local students nurturing their dreams in a better educational environment," adding, "We will continue sharing activities that grow together with the community."

Wishing to contribute to the local community, it joined this scholarship initiative and delivered a 2 million won scholarship.

Residents of Nambu-dong previously donated 2 million won in scholarships in 2021, and have donated a total of 5 million won in scholarships through this year.

Chairperson Lee Yeon-hwa said, "I hope this will provide at least a little help to students who are devoted to their studies despite difficult circumstances," and added, "We will continue to carry out various activities to improve the welfare of local residents."

Chairman Kim Ki-moon said, "The sincerity that each of you has gathered in your respective places is becoming a strong starting line for the students," adding, "The scholarship foundation will promote more substantial scholarship programs so that these warm hearts can be translated into real educational opportunities."
