T-Robotics Acquires AI Robotics... Expanding Capabilities in Smart Factory Logistics Robot Automation Systems

T-Robotics announced on February 2 that it will acquire AI Robotics, a smart factory specialist company based on stocker robot automation, through its subsidiary Motion Device.

T-Robotics will secure approximately 90% of the shares in AI Robotics. The acquisition will be structured through a combination of existing share purchase and new share issuance via paid-in capital increase.

The target company, AI Robotics, specializes in automation robot solutions tailored for industrial sites, including stocker robot automation systems and smart factory logistics automation systems. The company focuses its business on industries that require high reliability, such as semiconductors, secondary batteries, and defense.

In particular, AI Robotics possesses in-house manufacturing capabilities that allow it to handle everything from design to production, assembly, and delivery based on its own production plant. The company generates stable revenue by securing orders for individual projects and plans to achieve over 8 billion KRW in sales this year. It has accumulated project experience with major domestic conglomerates, including companies referred to as L, S, and H.

T-Robotics plans to combine the technology, workforce, and production infrastructure of Motion Device, which is acquiring AI Robotics, to enhance its robot lineup and strengthen its order competitiveness, focusing on smart factory logistics robot automation systems. Based on this, the company will also consider attracting external investment and forming strategic partnerships in stages going forward.

A T-Robotics representative stated, "We place greater importance on the mid- to long-term growth potential and structure after merging the two companies, rather than on short-term performance expansion," adding, "We expect that combining T-Robotics' robotics capabilities will rapidly expand both our order competitiveness and areas of application."

Meanwhile, on January 29, T-Robotics announced that it had decided to lend 6 billion KRW to its subsidiary Motion Device. This measure is intended to support operating funds and business stabilization required for the acquisition of AI Robotics and the subsequent integration process. The company explained, "The acquisition process is underway based on sufficient liquidity."
