The recruitment is open to young people aged 19 to 39 who either reside or are active in Hanam City. Anyone interested in municipal administration and willing to contribute to the development of various policy sectors is eligible to apply.
The "4th Youth Policy Special Advisory Group" will consist of a total of six members (one Youth Honorary Mayor and five Special Advisory Group members). This recruitment aims to select three members for the advisory group. The selection process includes a first-round document screening and a second-round in-person interview. In particular, applicants with experience in creating SNS content or engaging in social media activities will receive additional points. The final selection results are scheduled to be announced in March, after which the appointees will officially begin their activities as advisory group members following an appointment ceremony.
The selected advisory group members will participate in a variety of activities, including operating regular meetings, identifying and proposing youth policy agendas, promoting youth policies, and taking part in city events. A set activity allowance will also be provided during the activity period.
The "Youth Honorary Mayor and Youth Policy Special Advisory Group" was introduced in 2023 as part of the 8th popularly elected administration's pledge to promote youth participation policies in Hanam City. The group operates to reflect the diverse voices of young people in municipal administration. To strengthen communication with local youth, the advisory group is also active under the name "Youth Mate," promoting policies and engaging with youth through its own SNS channels tailored to their perspective.
The previous, 3rd Youth Mate group carried out a wide range of activities, including a large-scale exploration of promising local companies for Hanam youth, planning the "Youth Sports Day" event in celebration of Youth Day, proposing participatory budgeting projects for youth, launching and promoting the Youth Mate SNS, and planning youth achievement sharing sessions. These efforts contributed to establishing a culture of autonomous, youth-led policy participation.
A Hanam City official stated, "The Youth Policy Special Advisory Group serves as an important communication channel between young people and municipal administration," adding, "We hope that the 4th Youth Policy Special Advisory Group will actively participate and propose policies that young people can tangibly experience and benefit from."

Applications can be submitted in person at the Youth Employment Support Team (3rd floor, main building) of Hanam City Hall or through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's integrated application system, "Jobaba Apply." The application deadline is February 19.
