Morning lows will range from -15 to -2 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will be between 0 and 8 degrees Celsius, which is lower than the average for this time of year. Most of the central region, northeastern North Jeolla, and the Gyeongsangbuk-do area, where cold wave advisories have been issued, will experience very cold morning temperatures around -10 degrees Celsius (with some parts of northeastern Gyeonggi and inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon dropping to around -15 degrees Celsius).
Strong winds will make it feel even colder, but temperatures will gradually rise from midday, and most regions are expected to return to above-freezing levels.
Dry weather advisories have been issued for most areas nationwide except Jeju Island, so special attention is needed to prevent forest fires and various other fires.
Most areas across the country will be mostly cloudy at times, but will clear up from the morning; however, the Seoul metropolitan area will gradually become overcast at night.
Ulleungdo and Dokdo are expected to receive 1 to 5 centimeters of snow.
Winds along coastal areas will be strong, with gusts reaching around 15 meters per second.
Fine dust concentrations will remain at 'good' to 'moderate' levels nationwide due to favorable atmospheric dispersion.
Wave heights will be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea and South Sea coastal waters.
In offshore waters (up to about 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights are expected to reach 1.0 to 3.0 meters in the East Sea and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea and South Sea.
