First in the Insurance Industry: Launch of Life-Cycle-Based Training
Establishing a Growth Roadmap for High-Performing Consultants
Samsung Life Insurance announced on January 29 that it will revamp its consultant training system this year to advance its core business strategies.
Samsung Life Insurance will enhance both the efficiency of its training operations and sales capabilities by introducing a more flexible training system for new consultants and organizing practical training programs. The third-year training program for new consultants, who have already adapted to the sales field, will be fully converted to an online format so that essential onboarding and sales activities can be conducted simultaneously. Third-year newcomers will be able to complete their training by accessing online lectures on the "Tablet Education On" platform anytime and anywhere while engaging in sales activities. For second-year consultants, who may still lack basic insurance competencies, training will continue to be conducted face-to-face as before.
Practical training programs that can deliver immediate results in the field will also be significantly strengthened. Through the "Customer Camp," consultants will identify customers' latent insurance needs by analyzing existing contracts, while the "Activity Camp" will focus on enhancing sales capabilities through training on health insurance trends and delivery activities.
Additionally, Samsung Life Insurance will be the first in the insurance industry to introduce a life-cycle-based training curriculum and establish a growth roadmap for high-performing consultants, supporting them in developing expertise and sustaining long-term careers.
The "Life Masters" program for consultants with ten years of experience will focus on strengthening product and digital competencies. The "Life Leaders" program for those with twenty years of experience will concentrate on developing leadership skills as veteran consultants. The "Life Heroes" program for consultants with thirty years of experience will focus on health and retirement management, as well as enhancing client loyalty. Through these programs, Samsung Life Insurance aims to help consultants continuously maintain their expertise in a rapidly changing financial environment.
A systematic "growth roadmap" will also be established for high-performing consultants. To support the development of new consultants, the company will introduce the "New Vision UP" and "Pre-Sungdae" programs. After completing the "Sungdae and Samsung Next Generation Leader" program, which covers tax, corporate, consulting, and marketing studies, consultants will further enhance their capabilities as top financial experts through the "Seoul National University and Samsung Humanities" program.
A Samsung Life Insurance representative stated, "This overhaul of our training system is focused on addressing the real challenges consultants face in the field and strengthening their practical skills," adding, "We will continue to provide differentiated financial services to our clients through field-oriented and practical programs."
