Salesforce Enhances AI Integration Capabilities... Unveils 'MuleSoft Agent Fabric'

On January 29, Salesforce, an AI customer management company, announced the launch of its next-generation "MuleSoft Agent Fabric," a platform that enables enterprises to centrally manage AI agents (generative AI technologies that autonomously reason, plan, and act to achieve goals) and tools within the organization.

With this new generation, Salesforce has strengthened its ability to manage AI agents distributed across multi-cloud environments (environments that utilize multiple cloud platforms). This enhancement is designed to address the growing issue of "agent sprawl" that arises as enterprises increasingly adopt AI agents. "Agent sprawl" refers to the phenomenon where different agents are individually operated across departments and cloud environments, resulting in uncontrolled proliferation without centralized oversight.

"MuleSoft Agent Fabric" manages AI agents and tools distributed across both cloud and on-premises systems. Enterprises can operate AI agents within a unified framework, ensuring security and governance while expanding the scope of AI utilization.

Additionally, the platform automatically discovers agents operating across major AI platforms, including Salesforce’s own AI agent platform AgentForce, Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex, and Microsoft Copilot Studio.

The newly introduced "Agent Scanner" feature automatically identifies and registers AI agents deployed on each platform. Information discovered through this feature is centrally managed via the "Agent Registry." The "Agent Visualizer" function provides an intuitive overview of AI agent operations across the enterprise.
