During the earnings conference call for the fourth quarter of last year on January 28, Kia stated, "The semiconductors used in automobiles are not closely related to general DRAM, so the cost burden from price increases is minimal." The company added, "In fact, increases in raw material prices such as platinum, rhodium, and palladium have a greater impact."
The company also noted, "With regard to semiconductor supply, we have signed long-term contracts with multiple suppliers, so risk management is being handled effectively."
