Service Capabilities Enhanced for AI Tractor and Drone Business
Targeting Dealership Owners and Service Engineers Nationwide
Daedong announced on January 27 that it had conducted service technology training related to new products for 2026, targeting nationwide dealership owners and service engineers.
This technical training was held over two weeks, from January 12 to 23, at the Daedong Vision Campus located in Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. The training was organized in four sessions, each lasting three days and two nights, with approximately 200 dealership owners and service engineers from across the country in attendance. This is more than double the number of participants compared to last year’s technical training, which was conducted for a single autonomous transport robot product.

During this training, Daedong focused on enhancing product-specific technical understanding of two new tractors-the HX and LK models-and one DJI agricultural drone, all scheduled for release this year. Among these, the new HX model is the first tractor in Korea to perform Level 4 autonomous operations based on vision AI and is set to launch in the first quarter. The AI tractor HX model was allocated the most time, with intensive advanced training on the tractor’s electrical and hydraulic systems.
In addition, service technology training was provided for DJI’s agricultural drone, which will also be available for sale starting in the first quarter. The program included basic education on the drone’s main components, as well as case-based training focused on parts most frequently damaged in the field, with an emphasis on strengthening practical skills that can be immediately applied to real-world service situations.
The training also included a session sharing 24 unique cases selected from repair and malfunction reports received by dealerships nationwide over the past year. Since it takes considerable time to identify the causes of unusual malfunctions-and service delays during the busy farming season can directly lead to decreased farm revenues-this session was considered particularly important.
Lee Yongdae, Head of Parts and Service Business Division, stated, “This year, Daedong is aiming for a major transformation into an AI and robotics company, and we believe that securing service response capabilities for high-tech products such as AI tractors and drones is more important than ever. Through comprehensive technical training prior to product launches, we have ensured that dealerships and service engineers are fully prepared to respond immediately in the field, and we will continue to build customer trust through these efforts.”
