The Canyon is a model that has been validated over three generations in the North American market, built on more than 120 years of GMC truck expertise. In the Korean market, it will serve as a key model expanding the pickup portfolio following the Sierra, and will be offered exclusively in the top-tier Denali trim, embodying GMC's 'Professional Grade' philosophy.
With its robust off-road design and exclusive colors, the Canyon features an exterior suitable for a premium off-road truck. It comes equipped with a 2-inch factory lift suspension and ultra-wide track, resulting in a tall, confident profile and sturdy stance. The front end emphasizes a strong impression with full LED headlamps and fog lights, while the horizontal body lines add to the overall sense of balance.
For the Korean market, four exterior colors are available, including Onyx Black and exclusive 18-inch wheels, offering a wide range of choices. A sunroof is also provided to enhance the sense of openness.
Proven performance and off-road capability: The powertrain combines a 2.7-liter turbo direct-injection gasoline engine, proven through the Silverado, with a Hydra-Matic Gen2 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering a maximum output of 314 horsepower and peak torque of 54 kg·m. The Autotrac Active 2-speed four-wheel-drive system and rear differential lock enable precise control of driving force according to road conditions.
The vehicle offers various drive modes such as off-road, rough terrain, and towing, and the Off-Road Performance Display allows drivers to intuitively check vehicle status even on challenging roads. Notably, it is the only model in its class to receive Type 3 Low Emission Vehicle certification, achieving both high performance and environmental friendliness.
Pickup functionality and convenience: The Canyon boasts a maximum towing capacity of 3,493 kg and comes standard with an integrated trailer brake system, delivering performance beyond typical midsize pickups. Towing assistance features such as a hitch view monitor further enhance safety. The cargo bed is equipped with truck-specific features developed from North American market expertise, including a MultiStow tailgate, rear sliding glass, and a 220V power outlet.
Premium interior and advanced safety features: The interior is enhanced with natural perforated leather seats and laser-engraved open-pore wood trim, elevating the sense of luxury. An 11.3-inch touchscreen and 11-inch color LCD cluster provide intuitive driving information, while amenities such as a driver's memory seat, ventilated seats, and Bose premium sound system add to the comfort.
Additionally, a wide range of advanced safety features are included, such as adaptive cruise control, front and rear pedestrian detection, and haptic seats, ensuring both driving safety and convenience.
The domestic launch price of the GMC Canyon Denali is set at 76.85 million won, and Canyon customers will receive sales and maintenance services through the Cadillac & GMC Premium Channel Network.
