On January 27, Apple unveiled a new generation of AirTag, an accessory designed to help users locate their belongings.

This latest model extends the Bluetooth range and increases the speaker volume by 50% compared to the previous generation, enhancing its item-finding capabilities. In particular, the improved 'Precision Finding' feature now allows users to locate belongings that are up to 1.5 times farther away.


Additionally, it can assist in locating lost luggage while traveling. By integrating with the item location sharing feature in iOS, users can share the location of lost items with customer service teams at more than 30 airlines partnered with Apple.


User privacy, including location data, is securely protected. AirTag does not store location data or history, and only the user can access their location data through end-to-end encryption.


The product is compatible with devices running iOS 26 or later.
