Gasoline Model Starts at 24,770,000 Won, HEV at 28,980,000 Won
"Expanded Interior Space and Advanced Features at a Competitive Price"
Hybrid Model Added in Response to Customer Demand
Kia's flagship compact sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Seltos, has returned with a brand-new look after six years. The "All-New Seltos" (hereafter referred to as Seltos) has increased its body size for more interior space and added numerous advanced features, while limiting its price increase to around 2 million won compared to the previous model, thereby enhancing its product competitiveness.
Jung Wonjeong, Executive Vice President and Head of Domestic Business Division at Kia, stated at the "All-New Seltos Media Day" held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 23rd, "Customers have consistently requested more efficient fuel economy and a roomier interior for the Seltos."
He added, "The All-New Seltos started from this point. We have added a hybrid model and secured the best-in-class cargo space. We have also equipped it with advanced features rarely found in compact SUVs, further enhancing its product competitiveness."
The second-generation Seltos is available with two powertrains: a 1.6 hybrid and a 1.6 turbo gasoline engine. The 1.6 turbo gasoline model delivers a maximum output of 193 horsepower and a peak torque of 27.0 kgf·m. The 4WD model is equipped with a terrain mode that allows drivers to select from Snow, Mud, or Sand, enabling stable driving across various road conditions.
The hybrid model achieves a maximum combined fuel efficiency of 19.5 km/l. Efficiency is further enhanced by the "Smart Regenerative Braking 3.0," which reduces the frequency of brake pedal use, and the "Hierarchical Predictive Control System," which optimally manages battery charge levels.
This model also features "indoor V2L (Vehicle-to-Load power supply)," a function previously available only in electric vehicles. With a maximum output of 3.52 kW at 220V, users can conveniently power electronic devices during outdoor activities such as camping.
Additionally, the second-generation Seltos has been enlarged compared to the first generation to better serve as a family car. The overall length has increased by 40 mm, the wheelbase by 60 mm, and the second-row legroom (distance from the front seat) by 25 mm. The second row is equipped with reclining seats adjustable up to 24 degrees, enhancing comfort and convenience.
The cargo capacity is 536 liters, and the model also offers "Kia Add Gear," which allows for the installation of storage spaces or accessory hooks. Son Yongjun, Head of Kia Domestic Products Team 1, explained, "With the increased length and area of the cargo space, it is now spacious enough to fit an additional travel suitcase."

The next-generation Seltos is also notable for featuring a host of advanced technologies rarely seen in its class. Safety features include: Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2, Highway Driving Assist 2, Steering Wheel Grip Detection, Driver Attention Warning Camera, Lane Keeping Assist 2, nine airbags, and a reverse guide lamp.
Son added, "As the Seltos is a popular choice as a first car for novice drivers, we have strengthened features such as the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) to reduce worries and make driving easier. We have also enhanced connectivity in daily life with an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant that enables natural communication with the vehicle."
In terms of design, the Seltos combines the style of a classic SUV with a futuristic image inspired by electrified models. The front features a wide radiator grille for a bold look and Starmap signature lighting to express Kia's family identity. At the rear, lamps connecting the tailgate add a sense of stability, while the "L"-shaped taillamps emphasize the vehicle's solidity.
Inside, a panoramic wide display combines a 12.3-inch cluster, a 5-inch climate control display, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system, making the space appear even larger. A new panoramic sunroof has also been added.
The Seltos is available in six glossy exterior colors: Snow White Pearl, Iceberg Green, Gravity Gray, Ivory Silver, Frost Blue, and Fusion Black. There are also two two-tone options: Fusion Black/Snow White Pearl and Fusion Black/Iceberg Green. For the design-focused X-Line trim, two matte colors are available: Ivory Matte Silver and Magma Matte Red.

Kia will begin accepting orders on the 27th and plans to deliver vehicles to customers sequentially starting at the end of this month.
Prices for the 1.6 turbo gasoline model are as follows: Trendy at 24,770,000 won, Prestige at 28,400,000 won, Signature at 31,010,000 won, and X-Line at 32,170,000 won. For the 1.6 hybrid model: Trendy at 28,980,000 won, Prestige at 32,080,000 won, Signature at 34,690,000 won, and X-Line at 35,840,000 won. These prices are based on an individual consumption tax rate of 3.5%, and the hybrid model reflects eco-friendly vehicle tax benefits. Son explained, "Due to the inclusion of diverse features such as LED headlamps, nine airbags, and standard ADAS, a price increase was unavoidable."
Kia is offering customized purchase benefits and exclusive financial programs. The "residual value guaranteed deferred installment plan" allows buyers to defer up to 70% of the vehicle price for 36 months at an interest rate of 3.6%. For example, when purchasing a Seltos priced at 24,770,000 won, the monthly payment is approximately 60,000 won for 36 months (with a 29% down payment). In addition, new employees and newlyweds who take delivery of a vehicle in the first quarter will receive fuel vouchers worth 100,000 won.
