Smoke Reported at Jongno 3-ga Station on Seoul Subway... Service Resumes in About 20 Minutes

Smoke was reported at Jongno 3-ga Station on the Seoul Subway, causing northbound trains to pass through the station without stopping for a period of time.

Seoul Metro announced that it received a report of smoke at Jongno 3-ga Station at around 2:41 p.m. on January 23.

All passengers were evacuated, and no casualties have been reported.

Due to the smoke, northbound trains on Line 1 passed through Jongno 3-ga Station without stopping from approximately 2:58 p.m. to 3:16 p.m. that day.

Seoul Metro, the fire authorities, and other relevant agencies are investigating the cause of the smoke.
