Stabilizing Farm Management
and Laying the Foundation for a Sustainable Livestock Industry
On January 23, Yeongcheon City announced that it will be accepting applications for the 2026 livestock sector subsidy projects at each Eup, Myeon, and Dong Administrative Welfare Center until February 6, in order to stabilize the management of livestock farms, improve productivity, enhance the livestock environment, and promote animal welfare.
This year's livestock sector subsidy projects cover 82 areas, including Korean beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, poultry, beekeeping, eco-friendly livestock farming, and livestock quarantine, with a total project budget of 6 billion won.
In particular, to ease the management burden on small-scale Korean beef cattle farms struggling with rising production costs, the city will newly implement the "Small-Scale Korean Beef Cattle Farm Management Stabilization Support Project."
Eligible applicants are livestock farms that are licensed or registered in Yeongcheon City, and the project period runs from February to December this year.
After selecting the beneficiaries in March, the project will be implemented and monitored from April to November, and the final settlement will be carried out in December upon project completion.
A city official stated, "Through the livestock sector subsidy projects, we expect to alleviate the management burden on livestock farms and strengthen the foundation for an environmentally friendly and sustainable livestock industry," adding, "We encourage interested farms to actively apply."
