Seongwoo Hong: "Narae Park introduced me to the 'Injection Auntie'... I thought she was a real doctor"

"Narae Park introduced her as a 'friend she knows'"
"She seemed very much like a real doctor during our conversation"

Seongwoo Hong, a urology specialist who gained fame under the nickname "Kkwachuhyung" on television and YouTube, revealed that broadcaster Narae Park introduced him to the so-called "Injection Auntie."

In anticipation of its broadcast on the 24th, SBS current affairs and culture program "Unanswered Questions" shared Seongwoo Hong's story, stating, "We will uncover the truth behind the controversy surrounding the 'Injection Auntie,' who is alleged to have performed illegal medical procedures on famous celebrities."

Seongwoo Hong: "Narae Park introduced the 'Injection Auntie,' and she seemed like a real doctor"

Seongwoo Hong told the production team of "Unanswered Questions" that in November of last year, Narae Park introduced him to a woman. This woman, Ms. Lee, in her 40s, introduced herself as the head of a plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam and as the CEO of a company that attracts foreign patients. Seongwoo Hong said, "She told me that she invites doctors from overseas to run the clinic," and added, "She said she had received significant investments, so I thought she was quite accomplished in business."

Ms. Lee reportedly proposed that Seongwoo Hong join her overseas hospital business. Seongwoo Hong recalled, "Narae Park described her as a 'plastic surgeon she knows,' and even during our conversation, she seemed very much like a real doctor."

However, a few days later, Ms. Lee became the center of media attention. As Narae Park became embroiled in controversy following allegations of power abuse by her former managers, suspicions arose that she had received medication, injections, or IV drips from an unlicensed individual outside of a hospital setting, and Ms. Lee was identified as the person involved.

However, Ms. Lee insists that she is being falsely accused. Her husband, whom the production team managed to contact, refuted the 'Injection Auntie' allegations, calling them absurd. He explained that Ms. Lee holds a medical license, having been appointed as a professor at a hospital in China, and that she only provided one-time favors to celebrities she knows, never engaging in illegal medical practices. He further claimed, "Narae Park visited our home just once, three years ago. We are not the 'Injection Auntie'; the real 'Injection Auntie' is someone else."

Meanwhile, Narae Park's former managers have filed police complaints against her, alleging workplace harassment, proxy prescriptions, and unpaid project expenses, accusing her of special injury, defamation by spreading false information, and violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. In response, on the 5th of last month, Narae Park filed a counter-complaint against her former managers for attempted extortion, and on the 20th of the same month, she filed an additional complaint for occupational embezzlement. Both sides have exchanged multiple lawsuits and complaints and are now awaiting the judgment of the investigative authorities.
