According to the Ministry of National Defense, Minister An made these remarks during a meeting with CEOs of major and medium-sized defense companies at the Defense Convention in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the same day.

The companies attending the meeting introduced their current initiatives to support mutual growth, including financial and technological assistance and consulting for partner small and medium-sized enterprises. They also pledged to further expand such support in the future.

The Ministry of National Defense plans to strengthen its mutual growth and cooperation policies by introducing measures such as prioritizing the use of domestically produced parts, implementing an evaluation system for the level of defense industry cooperation, and promoting the enactment of a law to facilitate collaboration within the defense sector.
