A man who brandished a weapon at a security guard of an insurance company during a dispute over the cancellation of an insurance policy has been handed over to the prosecution while in custody.
The Jongno Police Station in Seoul announced on January 23 that a man in his 50s, identified as Kim, who is charged with attempted murder, has been transferred to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office under arrest.
Kim is accused of wielding a weapon at a security guard during an argument over the cancellation of his insurance policy at an insurance company building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, at around 2:30 p.m. on January 14.
The victim was transported to the hospital, but it has been reported that their life is not in danger.
On January 16, the Seoul Central District Court issued an arrest warrant for Kim, citing concerns that he might flee.
