Police Dismiss Mr. A’s Complaint Against Nana as “No Charge”
Agency: “A Clear Second Offense Exploiting Celebrity Status”
Actress Nana (real name Lim Jinah), who was sued for attempted murder after subduing an armed robber who broke into her home, has launched a strong legal response against the assailant. On the 23rd, her agency Sublime issued an official statement, announcing, "We have filed a false accusation charge against the robber, identified as A, who brazenly countersued the victim."
The incident occurred on November 15 last year, when A, an assailant armed with a weapon, broke into Nana's home. At the time, Nana and her mother were faced with a life-threatening situation, but after a physical struggle, she subdued the perpetrator and handed him over to the police.
A, who is currently on trial and in custody for armed robbery and assault, has not shown any remorse for his crime. Instead, he countersued Nana, claiming he was "unilaterally assaulted," and accused her of attempted murder and aggravated assault. During the investigation, he repeatedly changed his statements, revealing an intent to pressure the victim, who is a public figure.
Investigative authorities have made it clear that A's claims are false. The police recently concluded that Nana's actions constituted legitimate self-defense in an emergency situation and issued a "no charges (case dismissed)" decision regarding the countersuit.
In response, Sublime characterized A's actions as "an inhumane secondary offense that exploited the victim's celebrity status to distort the facts and inflict irreparable harm." The agency added, "We will not tolerate the perpetrator's malicious behavior under any circumstances. In addition to the false accusation charge, we will pursue all available civil and criminal legal actions to hold him strictly accountable. There will be no compromise or leniency."
