Kim Daejung, Superintendent of Education for Jeonnam Province, has published his new book, "Kim Daejung's Glocal Future Education," which presents a new milestone for Korean education beyond the grand transformation of Jeonnam's educational landscape. Superintendent Kim announced that he will hold a book launch event at 10 a.m. on the 31st at the performance hall on the 2nd floor of the Suncheonman Ecological and Cultural Education Center. This event is expected to go beyond a simple introduction of his book, serving as a platform to share the "glocal" strategies that Jeonnam education should pursue amid rapidly changing educational environments.

Through this book, Superintendent Kim proposes "glocal future education" as a solution to address the pressing issues of declining school-age populations and the risk of regional extinction. His vision is to create an educational ecosystem that leverages local characteristics while achieving global competitiveness.

On the day of the book launch, a book signing session will be held as a pre-event starting at 9 a.m., with the main event beginning at 10 a.m. Of particular note is the "Author-Invited Future Education Forum" series that will follow the book launch. Superintendent Kim plans to engage in in-depth discussions with educational field experts and local residents through a series of three relay forums.

The first forum will take place at 10:30 a.m. on the 31st at the Suncheonman Ecological and Cultural Education Center, under the theme "The Wall Facing Future Education: College Entrance Exams," where participants will discuss fundamental changes in education. The second forum is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on February 7 at the Together Hall of Dongshin University, focusing on "The AI Energy Education Valley Attracting Global Enterprises," and will explore models linking industry and education.

The third forum will be held at 10:30 a.m. on February 28 at the Kim Daejung Nobel Peace Prize Memorial Hall in Mokpo, under the theme "Glocal Future Education to Prevent Regional Extinction," seeking solutions for sustainable regional education.

Superintendent Kim's office requested, "Please refrain from sending flower arrangements, and check the book signing schedule in advance to avoid congestion on the day of the event."

An education sector official stated, "This event will be a valuable opportunity to hear directly from Superintendent Kim about his philosophy, which he has developed while striving to create an educational environment where children in Jeonnam can grow confidently anywhere in the world."
