Live Broadcast of the Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Concert and Gala Concert Held

This year, Goyang City will be filled with a rich lineup of performances. On January 1, the first day of the new year, the Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Concert was broadcast live at the Aram Theater in Goyang Aram Nuri, marking the first time this event was shown live at a domestic performance venue. The live performance conducted by Yannick Nezet-Seguin at the Vienna Musikverein Golden Hall was vividly delivered through a large screen and the venue's audio system.

In addition, the "Aram Nuri New Year's Gala Concert," held on January 10, featured the Going Home Project, a resident company at Goyang Aram Nuri, presenting a diverse and moving program that ranged from classical to contemporary repertoire, in collaboration with the Yoonbyeol Ballet Company.

Furthermore, world-renowned orchestras are scheduled to visit. On March 18, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg from Austria will perform with violinist Yang Inmo, presenting a stage that encompasses both the traditions and modernity of Viennese classics.

We will continue to present a more diverse range of performances and exhibitions to attract a broader audience."

Meanwhile, a variety of notable performances are also in preparation, including "Swag Age: Shout, Joseon!" (April), the first Korean musical to win Best Concert Production at the 2025 BroadwayWorld West End Awards in the UK; the play "Tungso Sori" (July), a Baeksang Arts Awards-winning production by the Seoul Metropolitan Theatre; and the male changgeuk "Salome" (September), starring Kim Junsu and Yoo Taepyeongyang. Additionally, the highly anticipated K-musical "Maybe Happy Ending," which swept six Tony Awards, is scheduled for May.
