KHNP Steps Up Efforts to Enter U.S. Nuclear Power Market with SMEs Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) is conducting the 'MANUGA with K' project from the 18th to the 24th (local time) to support 16 partner small and medium-sized enterprises in entering the U.S. market. Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) has officially begun targeting the U.S. nuclear power plant market together with its partner small and medium-sized enterprises. As the United States pursues plans to expand its nuclear power sector, opportunities are opening up for the domestic nuclear ecosystem to enter the North American market. In response, KHNP is bringing together SMEs to pioneer the local market.

According to KHNP on January 22, since the 18th (local time), it has been operating the 'MANUGA with K' program in Texas, USA, supporting 16 partner SMEs in their efforts to enter the market. The program will continue through the 24th.

MANUGA stands for "Make America Nuclear cooperation Great Again," reflecting the aim of expanding opportunities for domestic companies to participate in the supply chain amid the resurgence of the U.S. nuclear power industry.

From the 20th to the 22nd, during the event period, KHNP participated in North America's largest power and energy exhibition, PowerGen, in San Antonio, with a unified pavilion. At PowerGen, which attracts a large number of visitors, KHNP and its partner SMEs held a series of business meetings with major EPC companies such as Vistra and Siemens, seeking export opportunities.

During the exhibition, participating companies held a total of 226 consultations and signed two MOUs. Building on these achievements, KHNP expects that independent exporters will soon emerge in the North American market.

In addition to the exhibition, on-site programs were also conducted. Participating companies visited the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant in Dallas to observe facility operations and on-site systems, and discussed strategies for entering the U.S. nuclear supply chain by learning from domestic companies with export experience in the U.S. market.

KHNP also pursued policy cooperation with the state of Texas. Following the signing of an MOU last year with Fermi America for the construction of the world's largest advanced energy complex, KHNP visited the Texas state government on the 21st to share nuclear policy and industrial development directions and discuss avenues for collaboration.

Jung Yongseok, Executive Vice President of Planning at KHNP, stated, "We will actively support domestic nuclear partner companies so that they can independently export not only to the United States but also to the global nuclear market."
