"Check Your New Year's Fortune"... Everland Unveils February Theme 'Fortune Market'

A Unique Market Blending Lunar New Year and Fortune-Telling
Saju, Tarot, and Floral Readings Tailored for Millennials & Gen Z
Tteokguk for New Year's Blessings Also Available

The Everland Resort division of Samsung C&T Corporation has unveiled the February theme for its monthly special event, the "Whatever Series," titled "Fortune Market."

The Whatever Series is a project in which Everland selects a unique concept each month to offer guests a new kind of enjoyment. Following January's "Bungeoppang Rush," the February theme, coinciding with the Lunar New Year and the upcoming Year of the Horse in 2026, transforms into a New Year's fortune-telling market called "Fortune Market," where visitors can share luck and blessings.

Throughout February, the Fortune Market will be filled with unique content that allows guests to explore their fortunes for the new year through various methods such as tarot, saju (traditional Korean fortune-telling), and floral readings. The focus is on providing an experience where people of all ages can receive encouragement, comfort, and positive energy as they begin the new year.

Everland recently released teaser content for Fortune Market through its official social media channels, including Instagram. In a quiz posted on January 16 to guess the name of Fortune Market, symbols of luck such as a cute horse character representing the Year of the Horse, a four-leaf clover, a magical crystal ball, and fortune cookies appeared.

Additionally, a Fortune Market introduction image styled like a breaking news broadcast featured the horse character as an anchor, announcing the opening of the "fun-filled festival" and bringing smiles to viewers. The Fortune Market poster also attracted attention by featuring Everland characters Lenny and Lara dressed in traditional Korean hanbok for the Lunar New Year.

Everland, which planned Fortune Market, has noted that interest in fortune-telling and saju is growing, especially among Millennials & Gen Z, and is becoming a new trend. It is becoming increasingly popular to share New Year's fortune-telling content with friends or interpret AI-generated fortune results together.

In line with this trend, Everland has packed Fortune Market with a variety of fortune-telling content, offering immersive experiences and entertainment for visitors, and proposing a new way for friends, couples, and families to share lucky energy together. Various types of tteokguk (rice cake soup) wishing for good fortune in the new year will also be sold, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Before Fortune Market opens, Everland also plans to release a series of adorable teaser videos introducing different content using AI.

An Everland representative said, "We hope that visitors will leave Fortune Market, which reinterprets the familiar themes of Lunar New Year and fortune-telling with Everland's unique sensibility and storytelling, carrying luck and positive energy with them."
