Bungaejangter Releases 2025 Secondhand Report

Bungaejangter announced the release of the '2025 Secondhand Report' on January 22, analyzing transaction data conducted on Bungaejangter throughout the year 2025.


Bungaejangter reported that its monthly active users (MAU) increased by 735% last year, and the cross-border secondhand trading sector achieved significant growth. The number of transactions on Global Bungaejangter, which serves users in over 200 countries worldwide, also recorded a 280% year-over-year growth rate. There were cases where K-beauty devices were shipped to South Africa, approximately 13,000 kilometers from Korea, and BTS merchandise was purchased from Paraguay, about 19,000 kilometers away.

In domestic transactions, user-driven 'preference-based movement' was prominent nationwide, as seen in the sale of an 'Adele LP' over a distance of 574 kilometers between Seogwipo in Jeju and Yanggu in Gangwon. There was also active intergenerational communication in the search for hard-to-find vintage models or limited editions. For example, a 76-year-old seller sold a Louis Vuitton bag to a 29-year-old buyer.


In addition, users were found to complete purchases most quickly during weekday morning commuting hours, between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. During this time, 'hesitation-free shopping' was concentrated, allowing users to compare nationwide prices for products such as Nintendo, iPhone, and AirPods at a glance. It was also found that weather and celebrities had the greatest influence on purchasing decisions.
