Vice Chairman Cho participated in the "Chemical Governors Meeting," where chief executives of the world's leading chemical companies gathered to discuss the future of the global chemical industry. Only about ten major global chemical companies were officially invited to the Davos Chemical Governors Meeting, including Germany's BASF, the United States' Dow, Saudi Arabia's SABIC, and HS Hyosung.

During the meeting, Vice Chairman Cho met with CEOs of global chemical companies to discuss the impact of recent geopolitical risks surrounding global supply chains on the chemical industry, as well as strategies to respond to the long-term effects of facility expansions in the Middle East and China. He also shared a global consensus on HS Hyosung's eco-friendly materials and net-zero transition, exchanging views on sustainable growth strategies.

During this schedule, Vice Chairman Cho had a direct meeting with Fran?ois-Philippe Champagne, Canada's Minister of Finance, emphasizing the significant contributions of Korea and Korean companies to the global supply chain, including North America. At this meeting, which was arranged at Minister Champagne's request, Vice Chairman Cho expressed gratitude for the bilateral cooperation demonstrated at the recent APEC Summit in Gyeongju and for Canada's unwavering support, and requested continued support for Korea and Korean companies.

Meanwhile, Vice Chairman Cho met with Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, India, who attended the Davos Forum, to discuss local investment plans aimed at targeting the Indian market, which is expected to see significant growth in the future. Maharashtra, located in western India, is the country's largest industrial hub, accounting for 15% of India's total industrial production and approximately 14.7% of its gross domestic product (GDP). Chief Minister Fadnavis requested that "HS Hyosung, as a global materials leader, seize opportunities for domestic sales and exports in India through investment in this region, and make significant contributions to employment creation and the development of Indian industry."

Vice Chairman Cho stated, "We will continue to strengthen communication with companies and governments around the world for the development of both the nation and the company, and will maintain our cooperation for eco-friendly and low-carbon transitions as well as the establishment of stable global supply chains."

Vice Chairman Cho has consistently attended the Davos Forum, was selected as a "Next Generation Global Leader" by the World Economic Forum, and is the only Korean to have been chosen for the "YGL G20 Initiative," an organization of "Young Global Leaders" from the Group of Twenty (G20). Through these and other international economic cooperation platforms, he has played a role in private sector economic diplomacy and participated in discussions on global issues.
