Lee Junghwan Now Eyes Top 10... "Aiming Even Higher"

Competing at the DP World Tour Hero Dubai Desert Classic
Strong Performance with Tied 33rd at Last Week's Dubai Invitational
Quickly Adapting to the DP World Tour, High Expectations for Results

Lee Junghwan is aiming to break into the top 10.

On January 22 (local time), he will compete at the Emirates Golf Club (par 72, 7,439 yards) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), in the DP World Tour Hero Dubai Desert Classic, which has a total prize fund of 9 million dollars. He is the only Korean player listed among the participants.

Lee Junghwan is a player who has achieved three career victories on the Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Tour. Last October, he won the Genesis Championship, which was co-hosted by the KPGA Tour and the DP World Tour, and has since been competing on the European stage starting this year.

He is quickly adapting to the DP World Tour. In November last year, he tied for 23rd at the Nedbank Dunhill Championship, and last week, he finished tied for 33rd at the Dubai Invitational. This year, he has averaged 1.71 putts per green in regulation (21st), and has a bunker save rate of 87.50% (5th). If he can improve his tee shot accuracy, currently at 50.98% (110th), he has a good chance of contending for a top-10 finish.

This year's tournament features a star-studded field. World No. 2 Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) and No. 3 Tommy Fleetwood (England) will compete. Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed (both from the United States), as well as Tyrrell Hatton (England), all members of LIV Golf, are also participating.
