Sacheon Mayor Park Dongshik Visits Household Waste Collection Site for First On-Site Activity of the New Year

Listening to On-Site Voices While Accompanying Household Waste Collection

Park Dongshik, Mayor of Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province, will visit a household waste collection site with environmental public officials on January 29 as his first on-site activity of the New Year.

This early morning schedule has been arranged to encourage the hard work of environmental public officials as the New Year begins and to directly listen to the difficulties faced by employees working at household waste collection sites.

Mayor Dongshik Park is encouraging the hard work of environmental public officials as the New Year begins.

On this day, Mayor Park will hold a meeting with 53 environmental public officials at Hwagok Restaurant at 7 a.m., extend his New Year's greetings, and listen to their concerns and suggestions regarding their work environment and working conditions.

After the meeting, Mayor Park will put on work clothes, board a waste collection vehicle with the environmental public officials, and participate in the collection work, experiencing the on-site duties firsthand.

Mayor Park plans to use this on-site activity to strengthen communication with environmental public officials and to review policy improvements for better working conditions and enhanced safety measures.

In particular, Mayor Park stated that he intends to continue an administration that engages with citizens by seeking answers in the field rather than relying on formal reports.

Mayor Park said, "Once again, I have recognized the role and responsibility of environmental public officials who work silently for the comfort of our citizens," adding, "I will do my utmost to create a work environment where on-site workers who safeguard citizens' daily lives are respected."
