Kia Unveils Facelifted Niro Design... Launch Scheduled for March

Kia unveiled the new design of its eco-friendly sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Niro, on January 20. The newly revealed Niro is a product enhancement model introduced by Kia after four years, returning with a more refined design and improved features.

Kia incorporated its brand design philosophy, "Opposites United," into the new Niro, achieving a highly sophisticated design.

The exterior is based on the concept of "futuristic originality," combining restrained sculptural beauty, clean surfaces, and intricate lighting design to create a quiet yet powerful presence befitting the era of electrification.

The front features "Star Map Signature Lighting" daytime running lights that emphasize horizontal and vertical lines, giving the vehicle a modern and sophisticated impression. The side profile highlights the SUV's signature ruggedness with protective cladding around the wheels and decorative elements on the lower doors, all set against a smoothly contoured body surface. Newly designed 18-inch aluminum wheels with a futuristic look complete the dynamic atmosphere.

The rear is characterized by a boldly shaped tailgate that emphasizes horizontal lines, providing a sense of stability and making the vehicle appear wider. The LED taillights naturally connect with the body design, further accentuating the vehicle's width and delivering a three-dimensional and lively impression.

The interior of the Niro follows the theme of "refined intensity," building on the existing design identity while enhancing the sense of space with sharp lines and precise proportions for a more complete finish.

The panoramic curved display, which integrates a 12.3-inch cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system, creates a futuristic atmosphere, while the sleek, horizontally stretched dashboard maximizes the sense of spaciousness.

A Kia representative stated, "The New Niro, which has maintained its heritage as the first eco-friendly SUV, not only offers exceptional practicality based on functional value but also features a highly refined design that reflects the latest trends, delivering high satisfaction to customers."

Kia plans to announce detailed information, including trim specifications and pricing, in March and officially launch the new Niro.
