Mainbiz Association Holds Digital Collaboration Factory Overseas Exchange Program in Myanmar

Consortium and KOGAM Sign MOU

The Mainbiz Association (Korea Federation of Management Innovation, Small and Medium Business) announced on January 20 that it held the "Digital Collaboration Factory Textile Consortium Myanmar Overseas Exchange Program" in Yangon, Myanmar, from January 13 to 16, as part of its support project for building digital collaboration smart factories.

This program was designed to provide manufacturing SMEs in the textile sector, which are pursuing digital innovation, with practical opportunities to develop new sales channels through technical exchange and business cooperation with local textile and garment companies in Myanmar. In particular, the focus was on exploring the potential for linking the digital collaboration production and process management systems established by Korean textile companies with the local production environment in Myanmar, as well as identifying expansion models for supply chain management (SCM) solutions based on supply chain connectivity.

During this period, the association and the Digital Collaboration Factory Textile Consortium signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korean Garment Manufacturers Association in Myanmar (KOGAM) to strengthen mutual exchange and cooperation in the textile and garment industry sectors. Through this agreement, both parties plan to establish a cooperative relationship by sharing information and market trends in the textile industry between Korea and Myanmar, collaborating on technologies for digital transformation, developing joint business models, and facilitating personnel exchanges.

Cha Youngtae, Executive Director of the Mainbiz Association, stated, "Through this overseas exchange program, we have been able to expand the digital transformation model of the textile consortium established by the Digital Collaboration Factory project to international markets and lay the foundation for global supply chain cooperation with local companies in Myanmar. We will continue to promote various initiatives to support the global expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises."
