Hongchul Cho (age 59), Vice Chairman of the Daegu City Party of the People Power Party, announced on January 19 that he will run for Mayor of Dalseo District in Daegu.
Vice Chairman Cho is scheduled to officially declare his candidacy for the Dalseo District mayoral election at 2 p.m. on January 22 at the Daegu City Party office of the People Power Party in Suseong District, Daegu.
At the event, Vice Chairman Cho expressed his determination, stating, "I will present a vision for a new leap forward and the future of Dalseo District," and added, "Leaving behind the regrets of the 2022 Dalseo District mayoral primary, I will stand before the residents of Dalseo and the media with a more thoroughly prepared approach."
Vice Chairman Cho has previously served as a member of the Dalseo District Council and the Daegu City Council. He currently holds positions as a non-executive director of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, a director of the National Council for Upright Living, and Vice Chairman of the Daegu City Party of the People Power Party.
