Bomi Construction and Bomi Industry Sign MOU with Seoul National University of Education to Promote Complex Development of Large Stadium Site

Responding to Declining School-Age Population
and Envisioning an Innovative Campus

Bomi Construction and Bomi Industry announced on the 19th that they held a business agreement ceremony with Seoul National University of Education for the complex development of the large stadium site, aiming to innovate campus infrastructure.


The two parties had previously signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on December 29 of last year regarding the creation of an innovative campus in response to the declining school-age population and changes in the educational environment. On this day, they reaffirmed their commitment to cooperation through the official agreement ceremony.

Under this agreement, Bomi Construction and Bomi Industry will continue to review and discuss plans for utilizing the large stadium and computer education building sites at Seoul National University of Education in accordance with the Act on Private Investment in Social Infrastructure. They will also consider the establishment of educational, cultural, sports, and convenience facilities to contribute to local community development.


Bomi Construction has accumulated construction experience tailored to the unique characteristics of school spaces through projects such as the development of the stadium and the construction of the integrated education and research building at the University of Seoul, as well as the underground development of the stadium at Kyunghee Girls’ Middle and High School. Additionally, the company has demonstrated its capabilities in creating complex cultural spaces and its competitive quality through projects like the Golden Triangle construction in Seongsu-dong and the BFC building in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.


Based on this experience, Bomi Construction and Bomi Industry plan to develop a proposal that reflects the vision of Seoul National University of Education and the needs of the local community, and to formally submit it to the university. Once the proposal is received, the university will select the final project operator through transparent procedures, including an eligibility review and a public notice for third-party proposals, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
