A man who committed illegal filming while on a date with his girlfriend has been sentenced to a suspended prison term.
On January 18, a YouTuber known as "Prison Guide," who has about 190,000 subscribers, released a video showing the process of apprehending a man in his mid-30s who was illegally filming inside the country's largest cosmetics select shop and handing him over to the police.
In the video, the YouTuber explained that during the sale period at the country's largest cosmetics select shop, the number of customers increases severalfold and, naturally, there is a sharp rise in female customers. He said, "That means the probability of encountering hidden camera offenders also increases. These offenders take advantage of the chaos and crowds to sneak in."
He said that he was conducting a crackdown on illegal filming crimes during this period, and on that day, he witnessed a man illegally filming inside the store, immediately intervened, and escorted him outside. During this process, the man, who was being held by the YouTuber, received a call from his girlfriend.
When the YouTuber asked, "What are you going to do? Are you going to tell her?" the man confessed, "I'm going to send my girlfriend home. I told her I was going to the restroom and came in here for a moment," admitting that he deceived his girlfriend and committed the crime during their date.
Considering the seriousness of the situation, the YouTuber decided to call the girlfriend, who was nearby, and inform her of the facts. He said, "Your boyfriend said he was going to the restroom, but he was filming hidden camera footage inside the store," and showed her the illegal videos stored on the man's mobile phone.
According to the YouTuber, it was revealed that the man had also committed illegal filming at other branches of the same store. While checking the phone herself, the girlfriend's hands were trembling severely, and she said, "I want to look a bit more. I want to see when and how often he did this," visibly shocked.
The YouTuber advised her, "Scroll all the way down and check the oldest one to see when he started filming." During this process, it was discovered that even on the day he was caught, the man had gone on an arcade date with his girlfriend, holding her hand with his right hand while using his left hand to commit illegal filming.
The girlfriend, unable to process the situation, asked, "Is this some kind of prank camera?" She then asked if she could see the call record of the report to the police. When the police arrived, the man admitted to all of his crimes.

The YouTuber later stated that he had directly reviewed the court's verdict and disclosed its details. According to the verdict, the man was prosecuted on charges of illegally filming the legs and buttocks of female victims a total of 140 times with his mobile phone. The court sentenced him to 10 months in prison, suspended for 2 years, and ordered 80 hours of community service.
The YouTuber explained, "The man hired a private attorney and submitted a letter of reflection to the prosecutor and judge. His father submitted a petition and a certificate of completion of a sexual offense recidivism prevention program." He continued, "And there was one more completely unexpected sentencing material submitted: a petition from his girlfriend. The very girlfriend who, with a dazed expression, said she couldn't believe this was real, wrote a petition asking for leniency."
