BNK Busan Bank Launches 'Kkumdamgi' Career Experience Program to Nurture Financial Talent

In Collaboration with Busan Metropolitan Office of Education
High School Students Design Financial Products and Participate in Mock Investment Experiences

BNK Busan Bank is taking the lead in nurturing future financial talent by offering a career experience program for local youth focused on the financial sector.

BNK Busan Bank (President Kim Sungjoo) announced on January 19 that it will operate the 'Kkumdamgi (Dream-Embracing Enterprise)' career experience program at its headquarters from January 19 to 21, for a period of three days.

'Kkumdamgi' is an educational program that has been regularly operated since 2019 based on a business agreement between Busan Bank and the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, with the aim of fostering future talent in the local community and revitalizing career education. The program is characterized by providing students who aspire to work in finance with hands-on, field-oriented experience opportunities.

This program will include 23 high school students interested in financial careers, selected by the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education. Participants will experience a variety of practical, hands-on educational activities that reflect the latest financial trends, such as designing their own financial products, participating in a mock investment competition, and experiencing the work of a bank employee.

Choi Jeonghee, Chief Consumer Protection Officer (CCO) at Busan Bank, said, "I hope that through the 'Kkumdamgi' career experience, the youth who will lead our future will be able to clarify their dreams and take steps toward planning their future," adding, "We will continue to enhance the quality of the program and develop it into an even more meaningful financial career experience."

Busan Bank has been continuously conducting a variety of financial education activities, such as financial education for vulnerable groups, BIFC financial lectures, and the operation of a financial history museum. In recognition of these efforts, the bank has received the 'Education Mecenat Top' award for 18 consecutive years in the field of educational donation projects, and has also been designated as a 'Certified Career Experience Institution for Educational Donation' by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
