Gwangju Buk-gu is openly recruiting a resident participation promotional group called 'Bukkeuriator' to deliver district news easily and interestingly from the residents' perspective.

On January 19, Gwangju Buk-gu announced that it will be recruiting residents to serve as 'Bukkeuriator' members for the 2026 term until February 11.

'Bukkeuriator' is a compound word combining 'Buk-gu' and 'creator,' and was established to convey the district's major policies in an easy and engaging way from the residents' point of view.

Launched for the first time last year, Bukkeuriator produced a total of 18 pieces of content, including short dramas and dance videos, sharing a variety of local stories. Notably, a single post on the district's official social media achieved up to 290,000 views, and resident satisfaction reached 88.6%, reflecting a positive response.

This year, applications are open for three categories: scriptwriters, actors, and dance teams. The application period runs until February 11. Any resident aged 14 or older who either lives in Gwangju or works or attends school in Gwangju is eligible to apply.

After document submission, Buk-gu will select the final participants through interviews conducted by a panel of experts.

The selected Bukkeuriators will participate in the production of district promotional content at least once per quarter from March to December. Activities are divided into 'acting,' which involves reinterpreting major projects in a sketch comedy format, and 'dance,' which expresses policies through performances reflecting the latest trends.

Buk-gu plans to provide various benefits to participants, including compensation based on performance, issuance of activity certificates, recognition of volunteer hours through the 1365 system, and year-end awards for outstanding participants.

Residents who wish to participate can refer to the notices on the Buk-gu Office website and submit the required documents via email.

Moon In, Mayor of Buk-gu, stated, "Bukkeuriator is a symbol of communicative administration in which residents take the lead in promotion," adding, "We hope that content reflecting residents' daily lives and empathy will help bring district administration closer to the people."
