Geumsan perilla leaves, one of the county's signature specialty agricultural products, achieved record-high annual sales of 76.4 billion won last year, marking over 76 billion won in annual sales for the second consecutive year.

This achievement was realized despite challenging conditions such as nationwide declines in agricultural product consumption and rising production costs, once again demonstrating the stability and competitiveness of the Geumsan perilla leaf industry.

Geumsan perilla leaves have earned strong trust in major distribution networks and wholesale markets due to their excellent quality and stable production system. The industry continues to grow steadily through the expansion of smart farm adoption, farmer organization, and the establishment of joint sorting and joint shipment systems.

In particular, quality standardization, systematic distribution and marketing strategies, and a collaborative model between the local government and farmers played a crucial role in achieving annual sales of 76 billion won for two consecutive years.
