Six Films and Two Series Confirmed
"Made in Korea" Season 2 to Premiere in the Second Half of the Year
Hive Media Corp, the production company behind films such as "Inside Men" and "12.12: The Day," is set to launch an aggressive lineup spanning both films and dramas this year.
On January 19, Hive Media Corp announced its new lineup scheduled for release in 2026. The slate includes a total of eight titles: six films and two series.
The big screen will feature several highly anticipated projects. Director Kim Pansu’s "Tropical Night" is a hard-boiled action film set in Bangkok, Thailand, starring Woo Dohwan, Jang Donggun, Lee Hyeri, and Park Sunghoon.
Director Lim Sangsoo’s "Heaven: To the Land of Happiness" stars Choi Minsik and Park Haeil. This road movie, which tells the story of an escaped convict and a petty thief traveling together, was officially invited to the Cannes Film Festival. Director Hur Jinho’s "Assassin(s)" follows the masterminds behind the August 15 assassination plot, featuring Yoo Haejin, Park Haeil, and Lee Minho.
Director Nam Donghyup, who gained attention for "Handsome Guys," is returning with his next project, tentatively titled "The Gardeners," starring Song Kangho, Koo Kyohwan, and Song Seungheon. The film is a comedy about a civil servant who loves plants and a troublemaker who get caught up in a series of mishaps. Additionally, cinematographer Lee Mogae is making his directorial debut with the martial arts action film "Nambeol," and the thriller "The Woman Who Peeks" (directed by Choi Chawon) is also in production.
In the series category, season 2 of "Made in Korea" will be released in the second half of the year, directed by Woo Minho and reuniting key cast members from season 1, including Hyun Bin and Jung Woosung. In the first half of the year, Genie TV Original "Climax," starring Ju Jihoon and Ha Jiwon and directed by Lee Ji-won, will premiere for viewers.
The production company stated, "Building on the box office success of last year’s titles such as 'Opposition Party' and 'Boss,' we aim to grow into a comprehensive content production company."
