This newly constructed public parking lot aims to address the shortage of parking spaces in the densely populated area of multi-family and multi-unit housing around the park. The city invested a total project cost of 6.1 billion won, including 2 billion won in special grants and 2 billion won from the provincial government, and began construction of the parking lot in December 2024.
The parking lot has a total of 96 spaces. During the trial operation period, it will be available free of charge to monitor usage, after which it is scheduled to become a paid facility next month.
Lim Byeongtaek, Mayor of Siheung, stated, "The construction of this public parking lot will help resolve some of the parking inconveniences faced by residents. We will continue to closely analyze parking demand in each area and strive to consistently improve the parking environment in ways that citizens can truly feel."
