A Record of Field-Oriented Legislative Activities
Featuring the Stories of 100 Residents
The publication celebration for "A Walk Around the Neighborhood with An Pyunghwan," a record of the legislative activities of An Pyunghwan, Chairman of the Administrative Autonomy Committee of the Gwangju Metropolitan Council, was held on the second floor of Bitgoeul Startup Station near Gwangju Station on the afternoon of January 17. The event was attended by approximately 1,000 residents and citizens.

Kang Gijung, Mayor of Gwangju Metropolitan City, and National Assembly members Jung Junho, Jeon Jinsook, An Dogeol, and Jung Jinwook attended the publication celebration and delivered congratulatory speeches. Yang Bunam, Chairperson of the Gwangju City Chapter of the Democratic Party of Korea, sent his congratulations via video message. Local figures such as Jeong Seokyun, President of the Gwangju Christian Council, and Lee Kangcheon, President of the Korea Association of Judicial Scriveners, were also present at the event.
"A Walk Around the Neighborhood with An Pyunghwan" is a book that documents Assemblyman An's process of walking through the Buk-gu area of Gwangju, listening to residents' concerns, and working together with them to resolve issues raised in daily life. The book organizes field-oriented legislative activities in the form of a joint authorship, featuring the stories of 100 residents.
On the 17th, at Bitgoeul Startup Station near Gwangju Station, a book launch event for "A Walk Around the Neighborhood with An Pyunghwan" was held, where An Pyunghwan, Chairman of the Administrative Autonomy Committee of Gwangju City Council, and panelists conducted a book talk. The event proceeded in the order of guest introductions and congratulatory speeches, author introduction video screening, book talk, and commemorative photo session. The book launch concluded as a place to share on-site political records.
In his greeting, Assemblyman An stated, "The main characters of this book are the residents," and added, "I will not stop practicing politics that seeks answers in the field and asks residents for direction." He continued, "I will take today's support as a responsibility and walk humbly together with the community."
