Spokesperson Kim Jiho said during a briefing that day, "All possibilities must be considered, including whether this was an individual act or if there were connections or a mastermind behind it, and the facts must be clearly established."

He continued, "This matter should not be handled with speculation or political interpretation," emphasizing, "Investigative authorities must strictly enforce the law and release transparent results to prevent unnecessary controversy."

The joint military-police investigation task force summoned a civilian suspect for questioning in connection with North Korea's claim on the 10th that a drone from South Korea had infiltrated its airspace. In this context, a man in his 30s stated in a media interview that he had sent a drone to North Korea. It has been reported that this man worked at the Yongsan presidential office during former President Yoon's administration.
