Jeollanam-do Accelerates Group Tourist Attraction... Recruiting Partner Travel Agencies Until the 30th Jeonnam Provincial Government Office Building View

Jeollanam-do has recently launched a public recruitment process for partner travel agencies to attract group tourists, in line with the recent recovery in domestic tourism demand and the increasing number of foreign visitors to Korea.

Through this recruitment, a total of 35 partner travel agencies will be selected. Among them, 10 agencies must be based in the Jeollanam-do region. To strengthen marketing in major metropolitan areas such as the Seoul metropolitan area, the recruitment is open to travel agencies nationwide, and applications will be accepted until January 30.

The partner travel agencies will be responsible for attracting domestic and international group tourists to the province by developing and operating specialized tourism products. Jeollanam-do will support the partnership by providing necessary operational expenses and recruitment incentives.

For domestic group tour partner agencies (15 agencies), incentives will be provided in the form of a vehicle rental fee of 350,000 won per group of 15 or more tourists, as well as paid experience fees and attraction admission fees (up to 25,000 won per person). For foreign group tour partner agencies (20 agencies), support will include guide fees, paid experience fees, KTX transportation costs, recruitment incentives, and up to 5 million won for promotional and marketing expenses.

This year, in particular, Jeollanam-do plans to expand themed travel products through partner agencies, such as 'Rail Tourism' connecting the Mokpo-Boseong railway line with nearby attractions, 'Pet Travel' for trips with companion animals, 'Park Golf Package' and 'Remind Wedding Travel' targeting the senior generation. In addition, the province will operate various support measures, including berth support funds to promote cruise tourism, special incentives for attracting visitors to the Yeosu World Island Expo, and the 'Half-Price Island Travel' product.

Oh Mikyung, Director of Tourism at Jeollanam-do, stated, "Partner travel agencies are key tourism partners for Jeollanam-do, working together to develop attractive tourism products and attract visitors," adding, "We hope that many capable agencies with unique Jeollanam-do tourism products and innovative recruitment strategies will participate in this recruitment."

The application deadline for partner travel agencies is January 30, and the results will be announced on February 6 after a review process. For more details, please visit the official website of the Jeollanam-do Tourism Foundation and the incentive platform.
