"A Record of Transforming Gwanak into a Venture City"... Park Junhee, Mayor of Gwanak District, to Hold Publication Celebration on the 24th Book by Park Junhee, Mayor of Gwanak District. Blog of the Mayor of Gwanak District.

This book details Mayor Park's administrative experience and policy achievements during the 7th and 8th popularly elected terms. It provides a thorough account of how Gwanak District, once a quiet area known for its exam preparation communities, was transformed into the venture and startup hub "Gwanak S Valley."

In the book, Mayor Park states, "I have devoted myself to realizing 'Meoksanism' and 'Jalsanism,'" adding, "I want to achieve future goals together with the 500,000 residents of Gwanak District."

Kang Namhoon, Director of the Basic Society Foundation, wrote in his recommendation, "Gwanak S Valley, the heart of innovative growth, and Jalsanism, which upholds the dignity of life, are definitive solutions that expand residents' basic economic rights." Park Mingyu, National Assembly member for Gwanak-gap, commented, "This is a record that demonstrates Mayor Park's intense deliberation and perseverance in making the impossible a reality," calling it "a model answer for local administration."

Mayor Park served as a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Council from 2010 to 2018, holding positions such as Chair of the Special Budget and Accounts Committee and Chair of the Environment and Water Resources Committee. In 2018, after serving as Vice Chair of the Policy Committee of the Democratic Party's Central Committee, he was first elected Mayor of Gwanak District in July of that year and was re-elected in 2022.

He is currently Co-Representative for the Seoul region of the National Council of Democratic Local Autonomy Leaders and Vice President of the Seoul branch of the Council of Good Local Governments.
