Court: "Risk of Flight Exists"
A man in his 50s has been arrested after injuring a security guard with a weapon at an insurance company building in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
On January 16, Lee Jeongjae, the judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Central District Court, conducted a pretrial detention review for Kim, a man in his 50s accused of attempted murder, and issued an arrest warrant, citing concerns that he might flee.
Kim is accused of stabbing a security guard with a weapon at the Lina Life Insurance building in Cheongjin-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, at around 2:30 p.m. on January 14, during a consultation regarding the cancellation of an insurance policy. The victim sustained serious abdominal injuries and was transported to the hospital, but it is reported that his life is not in danger.
