This visit is a reciprocal one following Cheorwon County's invitation to the Khentii International Crane Festival scheduled for June 2025. The purpose is to share Cheorwon's crane ecological resources, winter tourism, and agricultural infrastructure, and to explore practical cooperation measures.

The visiting delegation consists of six members, including Amgalan Borgil, Deputy Governor of Kherlen District (Som), as well as a village chief, a public health center accountant, the head of Darkhan District, and a member of the residents' representative council.

The delegation will experience Cheorwon's crane program through activities such as birdwatching near the DMZ and a visit to the International Crane Center. They will also be introduced to Cheorwon's agricultural status and administration at the Agricultural Technology Center, followed by tours of agricultural facilities such as the Dongsong Agricultural Cooperative RPC.

Additionally, the program includes ice trekking on the Hantan River (from Eunhasu Bridge to Seungil Bridge) and attendance at the opening ceremony, as well as visits to historical and cultural sites such as Cheorwon History and Culture Park, the former Workers' Party Headquarters, and the Soisan Monorail. The schedule will conclude with birdwatching at the Tokyo Reservoir.

Cheorwon County plans to use this exchange as an opportunity to expand mutual visits and cooperative projects in the fields of ecotourism, agriculture, and culture, thereby establishing a sustainable model for international exchange.
